Biography
Kristina Anapau was born and raised on the beautiful Hawaiian islands, spending most of her early years frolicking in surf, sand and sugarcane field. She was an avid student of Classical Ballet from the age of five, performing in virtually every island dance production that would have her. With an artist mother and a scientist father, she was equally encouraged in scholastics and the arts and, at the tender age of 15, graduated high school and began studies at the University of Hawaii with dreams of a professional dance career. At 16, Ms. Anapau, who had no background in acting, was cast in a starring role in a Universal/MCA movie filming on the Island of Oahu, “Escape From Atlantis”. Instantly ruined for life by having her own wardrobe person, make up artist and teamster, she was left with little choice but to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting full time, where she has been flourishing ever since.

Much of 2001 was spent with Ms. Anapau pursuing a recording career as a founding member of the Hollywood Records recording act, “The 3gs,” including taking part in the MTV TRL summer ‘01 tour of major American cities with Destiny’s Child. Back in Los Angeles, and no longer sleeping on a tour bus, Ms. Anapau has turned her attentions fully to acting again and has been busier than ever.

What does the future hold for this rising star? More feature films and television as well as a lot of travel. Anapau has plans to spend some serious time in Europe and explore, first hand, another love: Art. And even though she’s blissfully happy, with her acting career in full swing, she doesn’t rule out a trip back into the recording studio to work on her solo recording career. Who knows? There might even be a way to get her back on a tour bus.
