Rand Steiger, Calit2 Composer in Residence UC San Diego music professor Rand Steiger has been appointed Composer in Residence, effective July 1, 2010, in the UCSD division of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2). The two-year appointment will allow him to experiment with new ways for using technology in his music, while collaborating across disciplines and innovating on the recording and presentation of his musical works.
