Biography
Amanda was born on April 3rd, 1986 in Los Angeles. At the beginning of her career, she started out performing in theater and doing live comedy at the Laugh Factory where she was recognized at 11 years old. Her first TV Show was on Nickelodeon's "All That", a younger version of "Saturday Night Live" in which she played popular characters as "Ask Ashley", Captain Tantrum from the Entreprise and Nicole from "Whatever Girls." During her stay on "All That", she won the Nickelodeon'e Kid's Choice Award for Best Actress every year. Her popularity and the love from her fans helped producers create another show just for her, eventually called "The Amanda Show", another live comedy show but instead she is doing all the skits(except for Totally Kyle). In between acting, Amanda performed charity work and met up with her fans and became one of the only actresses I know who actually signs every autograph. She also starred in TV specials, such as the "Nightmare Room" and made a guest appearance to "All That". On February 2000, she co-starred with Frankie Muniz in the successful flick, "Big Fat Liar", her first big leading role at only the age of 15. After 3 successful seasons at the Amanda Show, she is offered by a role on the WB network opposite Jennie Garth from 90210 for a half-hour comedy. Currently, she is starring on that show, now called "What I Like About You" which airs on Friday at 8PM. Her upcoming movie, "What a Girl Wants" open nationwide on April 4th. But this is just the beginning of her grand career and will be keep moving to bigger things.
